Acceptance and service scope

These Terms of Service apply when you visit StitchSnap, create an account, submit a support request, or use its crochet pattern tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The tools are designed for personal craft planning; you are responsible for checking a pattern before using it in a physical project.

The current service

The public release provides browser-based image sampling, C2C, Graphghan and tapestry grid previews, palette cleanup, written row previews, dimensions, yarn estimates, private seven-day saved previews, and watermarked A4 or US Letter PDF previews. The workbench processes the initial image in the browser. Current public checkout is disabled; no Waffo payment or paid download is promised by these terms. Features may change as the product moves through its staged release.

Estimates and project decisions

Grid previews, finished-size calculations, color counts, row directions, and yarn estimates are planning aids. Results depend on the source image, grid resolution, palette, gauge, hook, stitch style, yarn, tension, carrying method, and user settings. The displayed gauge may be an estimate if you have not entered a measured swatch. Make and measure a sample before committing to a large project. StitchSnap does not guarantee that a preview will match every maker's finished fabric, color appearance, yarn usage, or desired likeness.

Your content and permissions

You retain your rights in images and pattern content that you submit. You must have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to use the content and must not upload material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. You must not upload illegal, abusive, deceptive, or malicious material.

You grant StitchSnap a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transform, and transmit submitted content only as needed to operate the requested preview, save the private pattern, generate the requested PDF preview, protect the service, or comply with law. The license ends when the content is deleted or the relevant purpose ends, subject to backups or records that must be retained for security or legal reasons. We do not sell your submitted images as a product.

Accounts, saved patterns, and deletion

If you create an account, provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized access. Anonymous saved patterns are tied to a random browser session and may be restored only while that session and the seven-day retention period remain valid. You are responsible for keeping a copy of any result you need after the retention period. You can delete a saved preview from the workbench; deletion may not immediately remove legally required security records.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, bypass rate limits or access controls, probe private storage, reverse engineer security controls, upload malware, submit files designed to exhaust resources, scrape private patterns, impersonate another person, or use the service to violate law or another person's rights. We may limit, suspend, or remove access and content when reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure, or legal interests.

Payments, refunds, and third-party services

If paid features become available, the checkout page will identify the provider, price, currency, taxes where applicable, purchase scope, refund rules, and download conditions before you authorize a payment. A provider's terms may also apply. Do not treat a client-side redirect or a payment page message as proof that a download is unlocked; the service will rely on verified provider events. The current public release has no enabled Waffo checkout.

StitchSnap may link to or use third-party services such as Cloudflare infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, chat, or a future payment provider. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for an outage, policy, or content controlled solely by a third party.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an availability basis. We may update, pause, limit, or retire a feature, change retention periods, or remove content when needed to operate or improve the service. We will try to provide reasonable notice for material changes when practical. A saved pattern may expire after seven days even if a browser still remembers its ID.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, StitchSnap is provided without warranties that every output will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular project. You choose whether and how to use a generated pattern and should check the grid, gauge, yarn, and sample yourself. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights, liability that cannot legally be excluded, or remedies for intentional misconduct.

To the extent permitted by law, StitchSnap and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service during the period allowed by applicable law. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revision date; continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
